Media Tour
What you can’t see behind the Big Game is often what makes the experience a success for NFL fans, tourists and the hometown crowd (including the press). Kyle Communications executed a seamless behind-the-stadium walls media tour before Super Bowl 46 – inviting tech bloggers, TV reporters, college media and out-of-town press to check out Verizon’s 4G LTE network and learn how it would work on game day. Network tour guides took media to places they’d never seen before – reinforcing Verizon as a primary media information source for the city’s first Super Bowl. The media relations strategy helped earn Indianapolis its place in the national spotlight.
Results:
Verizon’s PR for the network tour alone netted 88 positive media clips nationwide, or more than half of the total 171 clips generated for all of Verizon’s Super Bowl-branded activities (grants, community programs, NFL player appearances) in the month leading up to the kick-off.
