INDIANAPOLIS—Kyle Communications, a media and public relations firm based in Indianapolis, added three new awards to its portfolio from the Hoosier Chapter Public Relations Society including the coveted “Best of Show” for crisis communications planning.

The Pinnacle Awards, presented May 15, 2013, at The Alexander in downtown Indianapolis, recognize top communications work in central Indiana submitted by large and small agencies. This year, there were 74 entries in the Hoosier chapter competition. The entries were judged by the PRSA chapter in New Orleans.

Kyle Communication earned awards in three categories: media relations, project writing and annual reports. The communications work, completed in 2012, was executed on behalf of Verizon Wireless and the National Panhellenic Conference, the nation’s largest advocacy group for college women.

The awards included:

Project Writing – Best of Show

A how-to handbook for creating a crisis communications plan is now a foundation for the 26 national and international sororities of the National Panhellenic Conference. The guide created by Kyle Communications breaks down the steps that need to be taken in a crisis that remains internal—or goes viral.

Annual Report – Pinnacle Award

Kyle Communications and the National Panhellenic Conference focused on the real stories of real women – whose personal and career goals were fueled by their sorority experiences. From Olympic athletes competing in London to CEOs with accomplished STEM careers, the pages of the annual report turned to a comprehensive storytelling narrative.

Media Relations – Award of Honor

Verizon Wireless and Kyle Communications executed a seamless behind-the-stadium walls media tour before Super Bowl 46 to share how the 4G LTE network would work on game day. Network tour guides took media to places they’d never seen before – reinforcing Verizon as a primary information source for the city’s first Super Bowl.

“Doing excellent work for clients that far exceeds expectations is part of what we do every day,” said Kyle Elyse Niederpruem, CEO of Kyle Communications. “We could not have executed so well without the help of a great team on all of these projects. The company is proud to share these awards with clients who understand our daily mantra: Own your story. Live your story. Tell your story.”

Kyle Communications was founded in 2005 and delivers creative marketing, social media and public relations solutions to its clients – from national associations to publicly held companies.
